The Y.O.G.A. for Youth training is for individuals who have a desire to teach underserved youth. The training covers the Y.O.G.A. for Youth curriculum structure and content, trauma-informed yoga practices, and classroom management.

Character education is an important component of the Y.O.G.A. for Youth curriculum, taught via the eight principles of Right Understanding, Right Intention, Right Speech, Right Action, Right Livelihood, Right Attitude, Right Mindfulness, Right Concentration.

Why Y.O.G.A. for Youth?

  • Y.O.G.A for Youth has been delivering yoga programming to children and teens for over 20 years, making it one of the longest-running and most well-established youth yoga non-profits in the United States.
  • The acronym Y.O.G.A. stands for “Your Own Greatness Affirmed.” We are committed to uplifting young people so that they have the tools to realize their own greatness. Since its inception, Y.O.G.A. for Youth’s target population has been underserved and marginalized youth.
  • Y.O.G.A. for Youth recognizes that human dignity, cultural, and intersectional identities are critical to thriving communities. Our training centers a “whole person” approach through relationship-building and strengths -based learning.
  • We translate ancient yogic principles and practices into a language youth can understand and apply to their daily lives without diminishing their powerful effects.

Is the Y.O.G.A. for Youth Training for Me?
