Thanksgiving has always been a special time to gather and count our blessings. This year we want to pause and express our deepest gratitude to those who provide direct care for our young people as they continue to struggle to make sense out of what’s going on around the world and at home these days.
We want to deeply appreciate the principals, teachers, administrators, coaches and mental health workers in our schools. As you continue to be on the front lines of our children’s education, we want you to know that we stand strong beside you, and that the tools we offer our youth are for you as well.
Deep breathing and lung expansion are keys to clearing the mind. The simple repetitive body movements we use help to unlock places in the body that hold tension from sitting for long hours in bad posture. Negative thoughts or feelings often have their roots in and around internal organs and joints of the body.
These universal tools can serve to help you manage stress, strengthen your nervous system, and support the release of physically held body tension that hinders the lung’s ability to support deep breathing.
We pray that these exercises and breathing techniques will serve you, your health and wellbeing for years to come. And we thank you deeply for your dedication to our youngsters. It means a lot to all of us.
Remember: When more tools to relieve stress, strengthen the mind and body become a part of your personal routine, all those around you will also be better served.
Sincerely,
Krishna Kaur
